Karkloof 100 Miler

The 100 Miler is considered the ultimate challenge in trail running around the world. To achieve a finish in this distance is a feat that only a few trail runners can claim.

In South Africa, the 100 mile distance is relatively new and the Karkloof 100 aims to produce a world class event that will cement itself as one of the ultimate endurance challenges in the country.

What's Included In Your 100 Miler Entry?

DATE: 20-22 September 2010

START: Friday 20 September 2019, 8pm

REGISTRATION: Yard 41, from 3pm

COMPULSORY BRIEFING: Friday 20 September 2019, 6pm

Venue: Yard 41, Howick

TIME LIMIT: 36 hours (8am Sunday 22 September)

ENTRY FEE: R3850.00

In line with international 100 and 50 mile trail races, compulsory kit is kept to a minimum without risking the safety of the runners.

  • 1L hydration capacity (bladder or bottles).
    Space blanket.
  • Waterproof Jacket and Thermal (weather dependent).
  • Headlamp or torch (only for night running).
  • Charged cell phone (preferably basic model with good battery life).
